Epic Games will host a pop-up taco shop in Los Angeles this week.
King LeBron James has arrived in Fortnite Battle Royale. The four-time NBA Champion joined an exclusive cast of characters, including fellow professional athletes Neymar Jr, Harry Kane and Marco Reus in the game’s ICON Series. The King’s entrance into Fortnite is a unique collaboration for Epic Games, and one worth celebrating. In that regard, Epic Games is taking part in opening a pop-up taco shop, where, beginning July 20, residents of Los Angeles, California can get their hands on some delicious Fortnite-themed food.

Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey revealed some details regarding the pop-up taco shop on Twitter earlier today. According to a poster that he tweeted out, El Rey’s Taco Tuesday will open for three days and play host to Fortnite and taco fans across the Los Angeles area. The shop’s first day of operation is on July 20 at 8175 Melrose Ave and will then move to two other locations.
Here is the complete list of dates, locations and times:
- July 20: 8175 Melrose Ave from 1 PM to 8 PM PT
- July 21: West Hollywood from 10 AM to 8 PM PT
- July 22: 90046 from 10 AM to 2 PM PT
A TikTok creator named Le_Shooteer provided additional information for El Rey’s Taco Tuesday opening.
“The pop-up will have immersive taco-themed items and decor from the game. As for the food, it’s unclear what the actual tacos will taste like or who will prepare them, but at least it won’t cost anything — the event is free for anyone who comes”
There are no confirmed reports from Epic or the taco distributor whether the food will be free of charge, but multiple sources point toward this being the case. Epic has not released any blog posts in this regard. There hasn't been any tweet about the pop-up taco shop either. But we’ll presumably see something today, considering the opening tomorrow.
We'll keep you updated with any additional information.
