ESTNN details all 2020 Competitive Fortnite Award winners!

Thirty hand-chosen panelists across the competitive Fortnite scene collaborated with the community to vote on multiple awards for 2020. The year itself was odd, considering the lack of offline events, but Epic Games and other third-party competition organizers stood firm. 2020 featured multimillion-dollar prize pools, insanely talented competitors and intense tournaments. Now is the time to recognize the best players, organizations and much more. Let’s take a look at who claimed all 18 Fortnite Competitive Awards!

The awards leaned heavily in favor of NA West players, particularly Arkhram and Reet, who collected two awards. Arkhram took home Solo Player of the Year after winning the FNCS Invitational, DreamHack Online and claiming second in FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 3. He also won Trio of the Year alongside teammates EpikWhale and rehx. The Competitive Awards recognized Reet for Breakout and Controller Player of the Year. He arrived on the scene in full force early last year and quickly became a top player and popular streamer.

Tayson secured Player of the Year with ease, considering his back-to-back FNCS-winning performance. Legendary duo Zayt and Saf became the inaugural Duo of the Year after their FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 2 victory. On the non-player side, Ballatw, NRG, Arab and DreamHack respectively won caster, organization, coach and tournament organizer of the year. The community awards saw NRG Ronaldo collect Personality and Streamer of the Year.

Somebodysgun, Fortnite analyst/commentator behind the Competitive Awards, plans to continue recognizing exceptional play throughout 2021 and during each Fortnite Champion Series.
