Following yesterday’s article about some of the best CS 1.6 players that were a part of CSGO, it is time for part 2. There are way too many players to list, so we will try to show you some of the most impressive ones. Who knows, some of them might decide to start playing again.

Richard “Xizt” Landström
Although some players consider Xizt to be a part of the “newer generation of CS 1 6 players”, there is no arguing he deserves to be on the list. The Swedish player was a part of some of the best teams in the world, such as H2k Gaming and Fnatic.
Once CSGO arrived, Xizt moved to Ninjas in Pyjamas, where he spent six years. Unsurprisingly, he won loads of different events and quickly became one of the best in the world.
After his time with NiP, Xizt also joined Dignitas, where we reunited with some former teammates like f0rest, friberg, and Fifflaren. Sadly, this didn’t last long, which is why Xizt decided to become an analyst for Heroic. After doing this for a couple of months, he became the team’s coach and continues to have this rule even today.
Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund
GeT_RiGhT is easily one of the most recognizable CS players in the world and one of the best the game has ever seen. He has always been among the best in the world and even won the award in 2013 and 2014. Unsurprisingly, this player won everything possible. In fact, GeT_RiGhT was a part of Ninjas in Pyjamas when the team had the jaw-dropping 87-0 map streak.
If we look at GeT_RiGhT’s CS 1.6 career, we can see he was a part of many teams. Although he started with Begrip Gaming, GTR’s career sky-rocketed when he became a part of SK Gaming. He also played for Ninjas in Pyjamas, Meet Your Makers, EvilZone, Giants Gaming and Fnatic.
When it comes down to CSGO, GTR spent more than 7 years with Ninjas in Pyjamas. After that, he joined Dignitas, but this only lasted for a couple of months. After that, GeT_RiGhT decided to become a streamer.
Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg
The next big name on the list is GTR’s best friend, that was by his side for many years. Like GeT_RiGhT, f0rest is a Swedish professional player that many people consider to be one of the best in the world. He has been a part of many world-class teams, including NiP in CSGO where he achieved the jaw-dropping streak mentioned earlier.
If we look at f0rest’s CS 1.6’s history, we can find a couple of big names. Even though he was a part of a couple of teams, he became a big name after joining Fnatic. This happened in 2006, and he spent more than 4 years. After that, he joined SK Gaming, where he stayed for 2 years before the arrival of CSGO.
In CSGO, f0rest played for NiP for 8 years and won everything possible. After that, he also joined Dignitas, but as of June 16, 2022, he is inactive. We are yet to see whether he will be back.
Filip “NEO” Kubski
Poland is home to a couple of top-rated CSGO players, but NEO is probably the most popular one. No wonder he won the reward for being the best player in the world in 2011. He was also the country's best player for a couple of years in a row, which is why many people consider him to be the greatest player the game has ever seen.
NEO’s career in CS 1.6 is legendary because he was a part of every top-tier team outside of those from Scandinavia. Although his career started in 2000, he became a big name around 2005 when he was a part of Team Pentagram. After spending a couple of years there, he joined Meet Your Makers and made this of the most successful CS organizations.
Following MYM, NEO joined Crack Clan, Wicked eSports, Vitriolic, AgaIN, Frag eXecutors, and ESC Gaming. When it comes down to CSGO, Neo played for several big names, including FaZe Clan and Virtus.Pro. Nowadays, he is a part of HONORIS.
Jakub “kuben” Gurczyński
Speaking of top-rated Polish players, we also have to mention kuben. The 34-year-old superstar played alongside NEO for a couple of years, which was enough to prove himself. The former professional player is now a coach, and he gained a lot of experience in this role, especially with Virtus.Pro. Needless to say, he helped his former team win various tournaments between 2015 and 2020.
When it comes down to his CS 1.6 career, kuben became popular in 2005 when he was a part of Team SKY. However, this didn’t last long, and the team made a couple of changes after that. In 2007, he joined MeetYourMakers, which made him even more popular.
In the years after that, kuben played for all sorts of top teams alongside Neo and other pro Polish players. In CSGO, the rifler was a part of ESC Gaming before he became a Coach for Virtus.Pro. In 2020, he joined Team Envy, followed by MAD Lions (as coach). Nowadays, he helps team Apeks.
