ePremier League Invitational Tournament Kicks off This Week on Sky Sports

A big soccer esports event is about to be underway.
The ePremier League (ePL) Invitational tournament begins this week and will be broadcast live on the UK’s largest sports channel.
ePL is the esports arm of the world-famous English Premier League (soccer). All 20 Premier League teams will be represented by a mix of either professional footballers from the club or famous musicians.
The full prize fund for the event will see all money donated to the NHS as part of the #PlayersTogether initiative. The entire event is being hosted by tournament organizer Gfinity.
The event will be broadcast at midday local time across Sky Sports, YouTube, and the Football Daily. The event will run from April 21st till the finals on April 25th which will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event, the UK’s largest sports channel.
John Clarke, CEO of Gfinity, had this to say about the event:
“We are delighted to have been chosen by the Premier League to operate the ePL Invitational tournament, where we will see some of the top players battle it out for the virtual trophy. During these uncertain and challenging times, we are committed to working with sports rights holders, publishers and broadcasters to deliver new content and virtual formats.”

The Stars Are Out
Some major names from the world of football (soccer) will be on display during the event. Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ryan Fredericks (West Ham United) Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) and Christian Atsu (Newcastle) will all be in attendance.
