Dignitas has confirmed the signing of former TSM Academy AD carry Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen.
The signing comes after a report was released that said Dignitas was having a hard time signing talent for its 2020 LCS roster due to handing one-third of its budget to Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon by signing him to a new two-year deal.

Johnsun spent last season on the TSM Academy team. During his time he earned plaudits for being a promising rising star of the LCS scene. By signing to a starting spot at an LCS side, alongside the experience of Huni, Johnsun has all the chances of progressing in 2020.
Johnsun has gained a lot of notoriety for his performances in the North American solo queue. As stated in the Dignitas Tweet, he currently has four accounts in the top 20 and ended the 2019 season with two of those inside the top 10.
While an AD carry is a great step in the right direction for Dignitas, a lot of questions will still be being asked by fans. We speculated yesterday that, with two former players Lira and Damonte still being free agents, it's possible the organization won’t look to bring those players back if that option is even available to them.
There may still be time for Dignitas to put together a roster. However, the pool of available talent, especially considering Dignitas’ rumored financial constraints, is thinning.
