Rules of the DIC Dead by Daylight 2024
As for the rules of the tournament, they are quite simple. All of the matches include 3 rounds and the winner is determined by the number of highest points at the end of the final round. All of the matches are held with each team playing as Survivors once, where 4 out of 5 players participate and as Killer once, where one player participates. In each round, points are only awarded to the Killer, where each survivor being sacrificed is +1 point but if all 4 are sacrificed, it's +5 points. If one Survivor escapes by hatch and the other 3 are sacrificed, the Killer’s team is awarded +4 points.
Other rules include that in each round, the Survivors cannot play with multiples of one character. All 4 of the Survivors are required to use different perks, as in there can’t be doubles and no add-ons are allowed. Survivors also cannot bring the “Keys” item in the game and are prohibited from using offerings. The Killer is allowed to bring 1 Rare add-on and 1 Rare or below add-on. In each round, the Survivors team can ban 1 Killer character, with the number increasing by 1 in each round. This means in round 2, 2 Killer characters can be banned and in round 3, 3 Killer characters can be banned.
As for the realm or map for the game, they are divided into 3 groups: Group A, Group B and Group C. The group is chosen in advance by the tournament staff before each round. Then, each team is allowed to choose specific maps from the group.
