Here are the Call of Duty: MW3 patch notes for the pre-season update
Activision just released a major update for the pre-season in Modern Warfare 3. This update includes many issues related to global bug fixes, multiplayer, Zombies, and much more. Since Season 1 is set to release on December 6 this year, the developers are looking to improve the state of the game before that gets here. Since both Zombies and multiplayer are filled with issues to be addressed, we can expect the developers to introduce more updates like this until they are satisfied with how everything is.
Speaking of the patch notes, they include changes and fixes to the game's performance, removal of bugs, and even some aspects of the progression. From a glimpse, it seems as if the game is headed in a good direction.
Contents
Global
There will be a wide range of improvements to the game's performance and bug fixes to aspects which include UIX and the game Cosmetics. Some of these involve the random crash while viewing Weapon Challenges and bugs that prevented players from equipping the Borealis Camo even after unlocking it. Issues related to the Dragonfly Blueprint for the M4 and Ghoulie Camo have been fixed as well.
Multiplayer
Some of the changes and updates in multiplayer were direly needed as these were affecting the player experience drastically. Fixes include bugs that stopped match wins from progressing Armory Unlocks. The graphical corruptions that occur while transitioning between Field Upgrades and Social Menus. The issues that cause values in the Progression Menu to be displayed as negative values. Issues where Weekly Challenges wouldn’t track Triple Kills and Quad Kills have been fixed.
Map Fixes
Map fixes include visibility issues in Derail where environmental fog affected the player's vision. The grime on the widows of the Lodge in the map of the Estate has been reduced to improve clarity.
Weapon Balancing

Zombies
Changes in Zombies will also affect a lot of parts of the game such as Missions, Perk, and Enemies. These will fix some issues players have been complaining about and will balance aspects of Schematics and Scorestreaks. Overall, Zombies will see a major improvement and players will certainly appreciate them.
Missions
Changes have been made to Storm the Caste where killing the Warlord will credit the squad. The mission item will spawn after a squad member kills the target. The Interceptor mission will now track destroying the Mercenary Convoy more accurately. Picking up a keycard from a Mercenary Convoy will always count towards mission completion.
Perks
A change has been made to the Tombstone Soda perk where it won’t appear in the next session if the player extracts while in the last stand.
General
An issue where some stowed items such as acquisitions or schematics would get replaced. Essence cannot be stowed anymore. Fixes to exploits involving the use of Cymbal Monkeys and duplicating scorestreaks.
Enemies
The spawns for the Zombies have been fixed and fewer of them should appear the higher from ground the player is. So the likeliness of running into Zombies while running upstairs has dropped significantly.
Terminus Outcomes
Damage dealt by the Mercs has been reduced to a more balanced state. Shielded Soldiers have a slower fire rate when engaged, which makes dealing with them less of a hassle.
Weapons Balancing
The issue where the Pack-A-Punch level would be incorrectly displayed is now resolved. The issue showed a Level III Pack-A-Punch as Level IV.
