Boston Uprising has terminated the contract of Walid “Mouffin” Bassal following several sexual misconduct allegations against the player.
Less than a week after the first sexual misconduct allegations against Walid “Mouffin” Bassal, Boston Uprising decided to release him from the team. In a TwitLonger, KhaleesiBB reported predatory behavior from Bassal. She included screenshots of private discussions and was soon backed up by other girls sharing similar stories with Bassal. Moreover, it seems the player had sexual discussions with underaged girls, sometimes trying to offer them alcohol.

Boston Uprising ended their contract with Bassal, not stating the reason behind this decision – even though there is no mystery regarding this decision. Mouffin began his Overwatch career in Contenders, first with Team Envy, the Dallas Fuel’s academy team. He then moved on to Uprising Academy, before joining the Overwatch League in November 2019.
KhaleesiBB, the first woman to speak out against Bassal’s behavior towards women, applauded Boston Uprising’s reaction.
thank you for doing the right thing by me and so many other girls and women, we appreciate that.
