Backpack Battles 0.9.3 Update Patch Notes Detail Balance Changes and Adjustments

Backpack Battles reveals a host of balance changes, as the breakout game is in early access.
Pyromancer receives another round of nerfs in the latest update for Backpack Battles, however, the developers promise that they will either roll back these nerfs or ships some buffs if players are unhappy with the state of Pyromancer. The Pineapple and Fanfare cooldown has been reduced from 4 seconds to 3.5 second and 5 seconds to 4.5 seconds respecrtivelty. The update also adds one more slot for Pandamonium while reducing the Cold threshold from 20 to 12 f0r Ice Dragon. Meanwhile, the stamina usage for thorn whip has been decreased, while the Damage per Heat for Dancing Dragon has been reduced by 0.5.

Staff of Healing gets a +1 Healing buff, while The Fool gets a speed bonus increased from 35% to 40%. On the other hand, Mrs Struggles the cooldown gets decreased from 3seconds. Meanwhile, the developer team reduces the Cauldron cooldown from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. The Strong Mana potion gets Mana changed from 7 to 9.

Backpack Battles Update Mar 22 0.9.3 Other Changes
The other changes lined up in the Backpack Battles update include many fixes such as the stamina usage can no longer become negative, and also players can make changes to their in-game character wardrobe with their controller. Previously, a controller would no longer work with player wardrobe.
Fixes:
- Stamina usage can no longer get negative.
- Strong Mana Potion / Divine Potion now mix colors correctly with other potions.
- Wardrobe now works with controller.
Other:
- Tutorial prompts now show controller buttons when played with controller.
Backpack Battles is slated to remain in early access largely for 3 to 6 months; at least that is what the developers have revealed on the Steam page. On the other hand, a majority of content updates are planned to be released for the popular PvE avatars. A series of balance patches are also lined up on the board, as we await more information from the developers regarding the game’s next update. “We plan to continue a weekly content patch cycle, with hotfix patches in between,” revealed the team on the game’s Steam page.
