After announcing his retirement from professional play early last week, Maurice “Amazing” Stuckenschneider has already found a new home. He’s joined Misfits Gaming as the team’s new Strategic Coach.
Amazing has had, well, an amazing professional career, with stints at TSM, Fnatic, Origen, FC Schalke 04 – and most recently in the NA LCS as starting Jungler for 100 Thieves. He’s been to World Championships with NA and EU sides and made it to an EU split final. He also had stints on the EU broadcast desk as both an analyst and shoutcaster.
Michael Bolze, League of Legends GM, had this to say about Amazing joining the team: “We’re excited to welcome Amazing to the team. His growth mindset is what makes him a perfect fit for our team. He’s constantly looking for ways to improve and grow, from both a technical and strategic standpoint. He has a direct and honest way of coaching, and has a great way with rookies.”
In the past week, Misfits Gaming has made four additions to its roster, most recently with Bvoy and Ronaldooo and earlier on in the offseason signing Vodafone Giants jungler ván “Razork” Martín Díaz and support Petr “denyk” Haramach. These are still unconfirmed by Misfits Gaming.
Right now, the Misfits Roster for 2020 has nearly two players per role to choose from:
Top : Dan Dan
Jungle : Kirei/Razork
Mid : Febiven/Ronaldooo
ADC : Neon/Bvoy
Support: Doss/denyk
Misfits Gaming look set to invest in youth for 2020. Amazing and the rest of the coaching staff have a lot of work to do to improve on the 2019 season, which saw the team collapse in the second split.
