In Foamstars, there are three different game modes, each of which has its own rules to follow and its own objectives to complete.
The Foamstars game modes are Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and Rubber Duck Party. The first will always be available to players and you can play it at any time, while the other two will rotate and be available every 30 minutes.
In this article, therefore, we will explain in detail everything you need to know about the Foamstars game modes.
Foamstars Game Modes
In a game like Foamstars, knowing what game modes are available is essential to understanding what the game mechanics are. It is for this reason, therefore, that below we will provide you with all the information necessary to be able to choose which of these methods is best suited to your tastes.
Smash the Star
Smash the Star is probably the first mode you will play when you start the game. This is a slightly revisited version of the classic deathmatches that we are used to playing in other games. In practice, your character and your entire team share the same pool of lives; once the pool is empty, the team member who stands out for his exploits will be named the star player. At this point, in order to win, you will have to defeat the star player of the opposing team.
As you can imagine, therefore, it is a mode that is a bit reminiscent of the deathmatches that can be played in practically all online games. The difference lies in the fact that here, in the end, only one player per team will be chosen who will have to clash with the opponent for the final victory.
Consequently, although cooperation is important, it is also important to focus on oneself to have the possibility of being elected a star player and, therefore, to be able to compete for the final victory.
Happy Bath Survival
In Foamstars, Happy Bath Survival is another game mode that changes from time to time and it's available every 30 minutes, just like Rubber Duck Party. It's kind of like a party game where you have different ways to play. In this one, two players are down on the battlefield, trying to freeze each other using special weapons or powers. Meanwhile, two more players are up on a platform, giving them a hand by dropping useful stuff or blocking the other team.
This mode doesn't last too long; it's a quick best-of-three match. So, if you're up for a speedy challenge and want to win as many matches as possible to complete the game's challenges, this mode is perfect for you. We remind you, in fact, that like any other game of the genre, Foamstars also has challenges to complete that will allow you to obtain rewards, so don't forget about them.
Rubber Duck Party
Rubber Duck Party is a fun game you can pick when playing Foamstars. It's a bit like the game where you try to capture the flag, but in this game, you're not chasing a flag. Instead, you and your friends are working together to push a huge rubber duck to a special spot on the field.
Compared to the other two game options, Smash the Star and Happy Bath Survival, Rubber Duck Party takes a bit more time. You need to focus on reaching your goal. To win, teamwork is super important. You and your buddies must push the rubber duck further than the other team does. Consequently, don't expect to be able to play alone and without coordinating with your team; otherwise, you won't be able to bring home the victory.
Foamstars Mission Modes
There are also other types of modes that are intertwined with the previous ones, called Mission modes. There are two modes: Foamstar Mission and Squad Mission. Let's see together in detail what it is.
Foamstar Mission
In this mode, you have to protect Bath Vegas from a horde of Bubble Beasties. This particular mode has been designated as a sort of single-player mode in which players will have the opportunity to experience the history of the Foamstars characters so that they can learn more about their backgrounds and how to play with each of them.
Squad Mission
As you can imagine from the name, it is a game mode in which you can play together with up to three other players. Your goal will be to defeat all waves of Bubble Beasties to improve your characters' abilities.
