Last year's championship was an absolute rollercoaster ride. Fnatic's disappointing backslide early on became the definite lowlight of the organization's long-decorated history. However, their last-minute rally during Season Finals for that last Worlds slot was like a watching a phoenix rise from its ashes. And all the while, the LEC rosters looked up to only one team; G2 Esports.

Fan-dubbed “The Kings of Europe”, this German cast got #1 seed at Worlds last year by winning most of the splits and the 2023 Season Finals. Soon, Caps & co. will take on all of EMEA's best on the newly-rennovated Riot Games Arena in Berlin for their first split win. But if there's anything their precarious form pre-MSI 2023 taught us, it's that all bets are off for these LEC rockstars.

This year will also be GIANTX's debut on the LEC stage along with the newly merged “MAD Lions KOI” roster. Will a few new upstarts propel the League into greatness this year? Will they be enough? And can these new faces manifest a new destiny for the region altogether?
