Xbox LIVE Gold will transform in Xbox Game Pass Core in September?

In the last few hours, a very succulent news has emerged on the net regarding the Microsoft world. According to what was announced by a leaker thanks to the vision of internal material of the Redmond giant, Xbox LIVE Gold would be about to close its doors in favor of Xbox Game Pass Core starting from September 1st. Let's find out in detail everything that has emerged.

Xbox Game Pass Core is the new Xbox LIVE Gold (with some addictions)

Several rumors have been circulating for years that Microsoft has outlined market strategies to value more and more Xbox Game Pass and try to kill its basic Xbox LIVE Gold subscription. Although it took some time to implement this strategy, it seems that the time has come and that Microsoft (and users) are now ready to abandon the old subscription altogether.

From what emerged from the specific documentation, the Xbox Game Pass Core subscription will allow access to online multiplayer for all games that have it, but will also include a selection of 25 free games in rotation of the Xbox Game Pass. The price, at least for the moment, will not change and will always be $9.99 a month and $59.99 a year. In addition, Xbox LIVE Gold members will automatically become Xbox Game Pass Core members and all Games With Gold redeemed up to this point will remain available in your library.
