Well, we have our 2024 sorted as the World of Warcraft 2024 Roadmap is now live, alongside one for Classic/SoD/Hardcore. So, the big thing that stands out is that War Within is out a lot sooner than most people expected. It's certainly going to be a busy Summer for WoW fans, and we feel for anyone looking to play War Within, SoD and Cata Classic…

Dragonflight Roadmap 2024

So, let's get Dragonflight out of the way first. We'll start off with what we already know about, patch 10.2.5. Next up, we get the mysterious 10.2.6, with Season 4 following soon after with 10.2.7 following that.

10.2.5

• Dragon Isle Epilogues
• Reclaming Gilneas
• Dragonriding comes to the old world
• Follower dungeons
• Azerothian Archives
• Outland Cup

It's a pretty good set of content for a mid-patch update, with lots of story content coming and finally a chance to take Gilneas.

10.2.6

Obviously, the Skull and Crossbones is an interesting one. There were so many rumours about “South Seas”, ie a pirate expansion for 11.0 but maybe we'll get some pirate content in 10.2.6 instead. We'll update this when we actually know more.

Season 4

• Fated Dragonflight Raids
• New PvP Season
• New Mythic Plus Season
• New Open World Rewards

Season 4, like the last Fated season is going to be one that splits the community. A lot of players thought Fated was a one off due to the content draught in Shadowlands… but it looks like this is our new way of ending an expansion.

Dark Heart – 10.2.7

• Timerunning Pandamonium
• Harbinger Quest
• Troll & Draenei Heritage Armour
• New Holiday Event Updates

It's a long way off, so we don't know much. However, it looks like a solid end to an expansion with a number of popular requested features. Obviously we don't know what the 3 of the things actually are, so we'll have to wait and see.

War Within Roadmap 2024

So, War Within features heavily here, obviously, and we'll be seeing a lot of it in 2024. Starting with the Alpha around February time with the Beta coming likely in April. Then, we get the pre-patch in May/June followed by the full release in the Summer. So, by the end of August 2024 we'll be in a new expansion. It's fair to say this is a lot sooner than most players probably expected, with November 2024 the most likely date put out by the community prior to today.

Lastly, we get the first patch of the expansion, so we'll likely only get the one War Within raid in 2024, but that's not a real surprise.

It's going to be a fantastic year for Retail World of Warcraft, and we can't wait to delve into more information as the year progresses.
