League of Legends: Cloud9 Reportedly Set to Pay $1.5 Million for Dignitas Support Vulcan

ESPN’s Jacob Wolf has reported that Cloud9 is set to pay a $1.5 million buyout for Dignitas support Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme.

Jacob reports that the deal will see Vulcan head to Cloud9 for $1.5 million and Dignitas Academy bot laner Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen. The deal has been verbally agreed upon and will likely be finalized once the trading period opens on Monday night.

More Cloud9 roster moves

The deal will also see a big clear-out at Cloud9 as Evil Geniuses will pick up Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen and support Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam, along with two Academy players, AD carry Matthew “Deftly” Chen and top laner Ziqing “Kumo” Zhao.

Sources have suggested that Cloud9 is also in the market for a new bot laner. The future of star player Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi still uncertain.

As for Dignitas, they’ve secured the future of top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon for the next two years in a deal reportedly worth $2.3 million. New Dignitas bot laner Johnsun – who’s joining from Cloud9 as part of the Vulcan deal – is expected to join the team’s Academy roster for 2020.
