Jeremy “DisguisedToast” Wang will be kept from streaming on the platform for a few days.
A temporary ban has been issued on Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang’s Twitch account. He has been in an exclusive streaming contract with Facebook Gaming since 2019 but usually returns to Twitch for “Just Chatting” streams.
On this occasion, he was watching an old PUBG compilation where one player was constantly putting him down with homophobic smears. That stream had peaked at 40,000 viewers. His Twitch account still has 1.8 million followers.
Twitch’s statement didn’t specify his violation but Disguised Toast is not contesting the decision. “Didn’t get a specific reason.” he said in his tweet, “but if I had to guess: I was watching an old Twitch clip of mine that includes a toxic player using the f-slur against me. Will try to be more careful in the future.”
The ban, which was issued on April 24, will probably last only a few days but will keep Disguised Toast from playing games like Valorant with his OfflineTV friends since they, too, might be banned. He will also be prevented from playing Among Us, which elevated him back to popularity in 2020.
Fans can probably expect Disguised Toast to “chat” with them again after April 28.
