Team Liquid vs GAM Esports will decide which team will get eliminated first from the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage.
Another day ended at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship’s Main Stage! The Blue Side has dominated on the Rift again, as every team that played from Blue won: T1, NRG, Bilibili Gaming and KT Rolster. Meanwhile, Cloud9, MAD Lions, Fnatic and Weibo Gaming are one step closer to elimination. However, they are not closer than the quartet of Team Liquid, GAM Esports, Dplus KIA and Team BDS, who will clash on Monday to determine which of them will leave the Main Stage first.

Team Liquid vs GAM Esports Preview
Team Liquid
Team Liquid finished 3rd in the Summer LCS Playoffs, even though they had a horrible start to the 2023 season, as they only got 8th place in Spring. After qualifying, they faced the most decorated team in the world, T1, and they had an okay showing thanks to Pyosik and APA. While Team Liquid didn’t win, it took T1 more than 36 minutes to destroy their Nexus, and the LCS squad had some incredible plays in the early game – as well as two Barons.
Versus NRG, they had a much weaker game. The 1st seed of the LCS has focused APA down, constantly ganking midlane, putting him in 0/9/3. Outsideof APA, Yeon and Summit had a weak game as well, and Team Liquid got pushed down to the 0-2 bracket. But they can still bounce back!

GAM Esports
The champions of the VCS are still holding on by a thread. They fought their way through the Play-Ins, where the only team that was able to defeat them was LOUD. Even though they dropped a map against fellow VCS squad Team Whales, they breezed through the rest of the Play-Ins.
Everything changed when they got to the Main Stage. Gen.G beat them in the fastest game of Worlds 2023 so far in just over 22 minutes, where the LCK 1st seed killed Kiayas 7 times. Against Fnatic, GAM Esports also struggled, with the LEC squad taking them down in under 25 minutes. Even though GAM is a great early game team, they couldn’t really show any of it.

Team Liquid vs GAM Esports Predictions
While GAM Esports should be the stronger team of the two in the early game, Team Liquid also had a great showing against T1. However, TL didn’t fall off as hard after the laning phase, managing to defend themselves for more than 25 minutes in both their matches, which could mean that GAM Esports crumbles in the first minutes and won’t be able to bounce back. Either way, the VCS champions have to play their own game and try and stomp TL into the ground.
