A look at all the TCG Card Shop Simulator Card Rarity that you can get in your playthrough.
TCG Card Shop Simulator lets you live out your TCG store dream, without the financial burden attached.
Card rarity is a key part of any TCG collecting, so you'll not be shocked to know that TCG Card Shop Simulator (TCSS) has this system of rarity as well. Below we'll go over the different types of card rarity, along with how each pack type and pack collection works.
TCG Card Shop Simulator Card Rarity
To start off, we have 4 types of card rarity before we get into the “luck” side of things.
– Common (Blue) – found in Basic packs
– Rare (Yellow) – found in Rare packs
– Epic (Pink) – found in Epic packs
– Legendary (Red) – found in Legendary packs
These are the marks you'll see on the cards themselves, similar to what you see on Magic and Pokemon in real life. They appear on the bottom right corner of the card. As you can see, the system is fairly simple, really they just denote what pack a card came from, rather than being a real “rare” bit of pack luck.
Non-Foil Cards
Non-foil cards come in a number of different styles as listed below:
- Basic cards: Standard card, no border, no flash just basic stuff
- 1st Edition cards: Special cards that feature a 1st Edition stamp on the card under the image (seen above)
- Silver Edition cards: The first rare type and will have a Silver Edition under the card image similar to the Gold Edition shown below
- Gold Edition Cards: Gold Edition as shown below is the top of these types of rares
- Ex Cards: EX cards, as shown in the foil section below are the last of the standard rare cards and feature unique art
- Full Art Cards: Full Art, again shown below on the foil section the Full Art is the best of the card types you can get with cards being valued well into the high double digits or event triple digits if foiled
Foil Cards
Foil Basic cards: Basic foil card
1st Edition Foils: A 1st Edition Card with foil design
Silver Edition Foils: A Silver Edition card with added foil
Gold Edition Foils: As above but in Gold
EX Edition Foils: EX cards with added foil shine
Full Art Foils: The best of the “normal” cards a Full Art Foil
Ghost Cards:
– Ghost Full Art Card: The ultimate card in the game, and one we are yet to get. These can come in foil and non-foil, with achievements attached to getting them. These always seem to be full art cards but with an even more special look.
