Remnant 2 Archetypes: The Gunslinger Class Explained

Remnant 2 release is just around the corner. The game developed by Gunfire Games will be available starting July 25, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As we have already explained in this article, Remnant 2 is the sequel to Remnant from the Ashes, developed by the same development house and released in 2019. Although it has gone a bit quietly among the players, the press has packed good reviews for this title, so much so that we managed to create a small community of enthusiasts who can't wait to try this sequel.

Remnant 2, like its predecessor, is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is threatened by the presence of monstrous creatures. The player's task will be to unravel the mysteries behind this invasion, alone or in the company of two other friends, in order to shed light on the whole matter and free the Earth from this threat.

Players, among other things, will have the possibility to choose an archetype (or a class) to be able to start this journey. Choosing the right class will be essential in order not to be caught unprepared when the game becomes increasingly difficult. In this article, therefore, we have decided to give you a general overview of the four archetypes present in Remnant 2, focusing on their skills and perks.

Remnant 2 classes: The Gunslinger

The Gunslinger is an archetype suitable for game situations where firearms are the protagonists. It is an archetype created specifically for players who are very good at handling firearms and who can handle ammunition very efficiently. As you can well guess, therefore, the main role of this type of class is to inflict damage on opponents. Furthermore, the skills of this class have been designed in such a way as to best optimize the Damage Per Second, which allows you to carry out fights in which the change of weapons and reloads are very fast.

Among the perks that The Gunslinger class has available, the one that most attracts attention is definitely Prime Loaded. This perk was designed to cause both firearms to automatically reload once players equip this skill. This makes the gameplay of the game much smoother and players don't have to worry about running out of ammo at crucial points.

Furthermore, the skills of this class are clearly distinguished from those of the others. One of The Gunslinger's skills is Quick Draw which allows you to discharge a concealed six-shooter and automatically aim at enemies, which coupled with the Prime perk guarantees a great fluidity of the game. The second ability this class is equipped with is called Sidewinder, which allows players to have an aim and speed boost, a speed increase in weapon switching, as well as the ability to reload weapons while switching. This skill is indispensable when there is the need to keep shooting but at the same time, you need to be vigilant and careful to dodge enemy attacks.

The third ability is called Bullet Storm which allows you to convert all the weapons in the player's possession into fully automatic weapons, increases the rate of fire, and accelerates the reload speed. This skill, therefore, as you may have guessed, is essential when there is a need to inflict large amounts of damage on your enemies. If you find yourself in this situation, this skill is definitely the right one for you.

Also supporting The Gunslinger class is the trait called Ammo Reserves which allows you to increase the ammo capacity players can carry with them, allowing them to focus on other aspects of the game rather than constantly scavenging for ammo. This trait, however, should be considered a very convenient and useful addition to any type of archetype.

In conclusion, we can say that this archetype is the perfect choice for all players who love unbridled action and who use a style of play that is mainly based on shooting. If you reflect yourself in this category of player, The Gunslinger is definitely the right class for you, as none of the others in the game guarantees you as much fluidity and action as that of The Gunslinger.
