Reins of the Quantum Courser Dragonflight 10.1.5 – What Mounts Can You Obtain?

Reins of the Quantum Courser is a new drop in Dragonflight 10.1.5, but it certainly comes with a lot more questions than it does answers. Let's take a look at some of the potential options.

The item reads: “Use: Observe the Quantum Courser, causing it to take the form of a random mount (from the Past)”. It's certainly not very clear from the tooltip; however, what this “mount” does is truly quite unique. In simple terms, the item will reward players with a mount “from the past”, some of which are incredibly rare. While we don't have a full confirmed list, we do have some early looks at what might drop, thanks to the PTR community.

Reins of the Quantum Courser what to expect

So, let's take a look at what we know. MrGM got very lucky, and managed to get Midnight from the item. He did, however, later confirm that this mount never dropped again after many, many attempts. So, it's safe to say the item itself, has “drop rates” on mounts.

Thanks to some folks over on the Wowhead community page, we also have some good speculation about what mounts should also be part of the pool.

Here is a list of mounts that have “confirmed” to drop on the PTR . We will update this list once it's been confirmed (or write a new article with more details)

Unconfirmed based on item ID:

Wowhead also speculated that, based on the above logic, a number of raid mounts could also drop from the item:

However, until we see one of these drops, for now, this is slightly more unlikely. With the patch dropping on July 11th, we'll know soon enough exactly what we might be getting when we crack open this item when it drops on live servers.
