Project Mugen First Details Revealed

The ambitious free-to-play open-world action RPG with an urban fantasy setting, Project Mugen, is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and cloud services. As promised, NetEase Games and the game's creator Thunder Fire Studios unveiled the first official trailer, as well as images and details, at Gamescom 2023.

What we know about Project Mugen so far

Project Mugen is an open-world action RPG that aims to astound players with its intricate sceneries and rich narrative, according to the first official details. It takes place in a world similar to our own, but one in which urban tales come true and humanity coexists with supernatural beings.

A high-level investigator known as “Infinite Trigger” from the Esper race assumes the player's place as they battle anomalies and paranormal occurrences that pose a threat to the stability of the bustling city that serves as the setting for the adventure. Users will collaborate with a variety of Espers throughout the course of the game to combat the Chaos that imperils humanity.

Project Mugen thrusts us into an anime-style metropolitan setting, where players will have complete freedom of action in terms of exploration, as we can see in the first official gameplay clip. For instance, we see players running on building walls while others use them to swing quickly as if they were skilled Spider-Man, and it will also be possible to drive automobiles and motorcycles.
