Its official, Chino will be starting for OpTic over Jkap.
OpTic Gaming LA has officially announced their first roster change of the season. They will be bringing in Martin “Chino” Chino to replace veteran Jordan “JKap” Kaplan.
There has been plenty of speculation over the last few weeks around who would come in and more importantly go out for the OGLA squad. After finishing 7/8th at CDL Chicago many knew it was time to go for one of the OpTic players. JKap was the main favorite amongst the Call of Duty community to be benched as his overall K/D this season is 0.81. It's by far the lowest on his team.
OpTic Gaming’s general manager Eric “Muddawg” Sanders announced on twitter that JKap would be benched for Chino. Along with this substitute, Muddawg informed viewers that the team has been experimenting with multiple role changes to try to find the best fit for the whole team. He explained how they have “two of the best ar’s” in Slasher and Dashy, but the current meta does not allow them to both play their preferred role.
So far this season we have seen roster changes for the LA Guerrillas, Seattle Surge, New York Subliners and the London Royal Ravens. Will Chino bring a new lease of life to the OpTic players and kickstart them into good form? We’ll have to wait until Friday to find out when OGLA take on the London Royal Ravens in Round One, this will be their first matchup of the season.
