Even though all of the big League of Legends tournaments are still marching onward, the community has been looking towards the first big international event of 2024: the Mid-Season Invitational. This year, the MSI is more important and interesting as ever, as the winner of the cup will get straight into Worlds, or at the very least secure an extra spot for their region. On March 29th, Riot Games have revealed some vital information about the event, such as the format, the venue and the time you can start purchasing your tickets for the matches in Chengdu, China.

MSI 2024 Venue

The Mid-Season Invitational of League of Legends is set to take place in Chengdu, China! Between May 1-19, twelve teams from all the major League of Legends regions will converge at the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center for their inaugural appearance on the international stage this year.

While the first one of the event will get a chance to qualify straight to Worlds, the runner-up region at MSI will also earn an extra seed for their region. However, to maintain their focus on success within their domestic league, the early qualifier for Worlds must still prove their mettle in their region's Summer Playoffs – which means that they have to at least get through their regular season.
