Potentially the final game of the day for MAD. Defeat here would send them home, sending Team Liquid and Gen.G into a simple two-way tiebreaker. A win, however, and the entire group goes into a four-way tiebreaker.
LNG Esports vs MAD Lions
It was the First Blood MAD needed and it came in the bottom side river in a fight broken out over the scuttle crab. MAD picked up three kills with just one over in return. Afterward, MAD pulled off another play, this time in the mid lane. While it only ended up securing the one kill, it was close to being more. Going through the early game, there were more kills for MAD as they continued to extend their lead. By the nine-minute mark, MAD were 3k gold ahead already.
And this lead grew fast. With just 14 minutes on the clock, MAD were 7k ahead as LNG looked to be on the ropes. LNG found themselves pushed in across the map, and with the top lane already open, they fell to 9k behind. The game finally saw a moment of calm, as MAD played patiently to make sure they secured the win. MAD moved to claim a Baron and it was easily secured. With it, MAD secured the bot lane Inhibitor. Trying to hit back, LNG forced a fight with MAD pushing in the mid lane. Surprisingly, they succeed in holding MAD off for now, so both sides reset.
Off the reset, MAD came back to the mid lane as they looked to end. During the push, the Inhibitor remained but the tower fell. The MAD gold lead was 11k as they slowly starved LNG of XP and gold. MAD pushed once again as they secured three inhibitors. MAD were able to secure the win and we strap in for four more matches
