Game One

It was a very slow start to Game One, with the first kill not coming until the eleventh minute of the game. At this point, Cloud9 was able to kill Ryoma in the mid lane after Perkz, Vulcan and Blaber positioned for a dive in the top lane with the Rift Herald. Perkz got himself into a prime position after a couple of fights that saw him move to 3/0 going into the mid-game.

Despite being behind in the gold, 100 Thieves were able to race out to a three dragon lead. This gave them an opportunity to come back into the game. A comeback became more of a reality after C9 fumbled a Baron attempt, where 100T ended up picking up kills and the Baron. Despite 100T's miraculous efforts, Cloud9 was able to wrest control of the game and take Game One of this series. Zven was able to deal out insane damage in the final fight that gave C9 a clean line to the Nexus.

Quick Stats:

  • Time: 35:42
  • Kills: 16-8
  • Turrets: 10-2
  • Gold: 67.6k-60.4k
  • Dragons: 2-3
  • Barons: 0-1

Game Two

Game Two started similarly to the first, with very few kills early on in the game. 100T targeted Fudge early with multiple ganks into the top lane. However, C9 did a much better job at controlling the objectives this game, securing multiple dragons and Rift Heralds to gain control of the map.  At 17:43, the deadlock between the two teams was broken. Cloud9 pulled the trigger near the dragon pit with a massive shockwave from Perkz, resulting in Cloud9 picking up three kills and the third dragon of the game.

Minutes later, Cloud9 decided to force a fight mid, which sees Blaber steamroll through FBI 16 seconds before the final Infernal Dragon comes up. Cloud9 is able to take the final elemental dragon and put themselves in a prime position to close out this game. All this time, 100 Thieves appeared simply unable to deal with the pressure their opponents put on them. Because of this, Cloud9 was able to push all the way to the Nexus minutes later and go up 2-0 in this best-of-five series.

Quick stats:

  • Time: 30:10
  • Kills: 3-16
  • Turrets: 3-8
  • Gold: 47.7k – 57.1k
  • Dragons: 0-5
  • Barons: 0-1

Game Three

LoL champions are shown selected in the players' respective boxes, along with some in smaller boxes as banned champions on the bottom of the image. Casters Phreak and Azael are in the middle of the drafts.

The third game started out with instant action. Within the first couple of minutes, both Closer and Blaber were able to catch each other out and trade kills in C9’s jungle and in the top lane river. Cloud9 continued to slowly build their lead, getting picks in the side lanes. The only crutch for 100 Thieves was the same as the previous games, and that was the stacking of dragons.

The game went heavily in Cloud9’s favor at the 21:30 mark. Here, C9 was able to beautifully kite out 100 Thieves and stop them from taking their third dragon. And with that, C9 took multiple kills and raced out to a 3k gold lead. At 27:49, C9 all but confirmed the victory and the clean sweep against 100 Thieves. 100T went for an engagement onto Perkz in the top lane but C9 was able to turn the 100T play on its head around to take four kills as well as the Baron. After that, C9 went for the end and was able to destroy the last 100T Nexus. They locked their spot in the Winner's Final where they will face Team Liquid.

Quick stats:

  • Time: 31:25
  • Kills: 8-13
  • Turrets: 2-8
  • Gold: 50.2k – 59.7k
  • Dragons: 2-2
  • Barons: 0-1
