EXCEL members share their excitement
EXCEL's Esports Director Tim Reichert had this to say on Finn's signing;
“While doing tryouts, Finn showcased his ability to fit into our roster lineup really well. He is a player that communicates his needs and wants very strongly and that's what we were looking for in a top laner.”
NukeDuck was the other addition to the roster, signing from Astralis. His signing rounded out the LEC roster for 2022. With Excel looking to bring it Academy graduates to fill out the roster.
Reichert also had some remarks on the finalized roster:
“We were very keen to try and keep most of the roster intact because I saw that the players synergized very well, especially after their promising short stint in the LEC Summer Split. The general consensus after tryouts was that the players enjoyed working together, and they were far from reaching their ceiling as a team.”
Head Coach YoungBuck has a score to settle at Excel, after narrowly missing out on Playoffs in 2021, he’s returning to the team for 2022. He added:
“It’s been a major learning experience during my time at EXCEL, and we have been hit with many highs and lows. While I know we have a lot of work to do, I’m committed in making sure that I get this team to playoffs and show everyone the potential they have.”
