All five members of CLG will be looking for new homes this offseason.
Today, Counter Logic Gaming announced that they've parted ways with all five of their LCS players from this year. Their previous roster of Finn “Finn” Wiestål, Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen, Tanner “Damonte” Damonte, Jason “WildTurtle” Tran and Andy “Smoothie” Ta are all now free agents on the market.

It's no secret that CLG had a rough time in 2021. Finishing at the bottom of the LCS standings in both the Spring and Summer Splits, there wasn't much for CLG fans to rally behind. On top of that, they came under heavy fire from the community for posting an inconsiderate sponsored video after a rough match. Overall, it was a year to forget for all the players and the organization. They'll all be looking towards 2022 with hope that things look better on the other side.
As CLG is now without a roster, they'll be relying a lot on new League of Legends General Manager Jonathon McDaniels quite a bit. But with his scouting experience on Cloud9, fans should have at least some hope that CLG can put together a competitive roster and turn their troubles around. On the other hand, all five of these players have found decent levels of success in either the LCS or LEC. While they didn't mesh well on CLG, these players are all good and it would be a shame to not see them play next year.
