Europe’s premiere League of Legends competition, the LEC has been playing its regular seasons without an audience for the last two years. Even with most traditional sports allowing live audiences, Riot and LEC have been very cautious about opening up the Berlin studio until the last split’s playoffs.
Even though it wasn’t a stadium event, unlike the LCS finals, LEC Spring 2022 Split was held in the studio with a live audience which gave fans hope for the next split. G2 Esports was the eventual winner of the playoffs after a not-so-impressive regular season. Most fans and analysts looked at the crowd and the increased energy during games as a positive on the G2’s championship run from the lower bracket.
In a press release today, LEC announced that the Summer 2022 Split will be open to fans. LEC Summer 2022 will begin on June 17 with a super week as usual, and the fans looking to attend the event can get theirs starting tomorrow, June 10 at 16:00 CEST. If you’d like to get your tickets, they will be on sale on the Eventbrite website.
The event tickets are priced at €12 and you can only buy four tickets at a time. Unfortunately, there will be no weekend tickets, so attendees will have to buy an individual ticket for each day they are planning to go.
Tickets include an opportunity to visit the iconic Baron Nashor statue in the studio and access to the concession stands for food and beverages. If you are planning to attend, be aware that wearing a face mask is mandatory inside the venue.
