GAM Esports vs FunPlus Phoenix
The Chinese 1st seed started the day with a clean victory. Doinb slowly walked from mid to bot and used his ultimate to steal a kill. GAM Esports (“GAM”) dove the top lane to respond and won a 3-2 trade. They dove in the top lane again, but FunPlus Phoenix sent man after man to switch the kills. Infernal Dragon brought the next fight for the teams with FPX taking the dragon and a single kill trade.
Baron was started by FPX and GAM moved to respond. Flinging themselves in, GAM lost Slay and scrambled to contest the Baron. With enough time for Slay to respond and warp in FPX took three more. As both teams looked for a fight in the middle lane, Doinb flanked the blue team and crushed a 4-0 team fight with his ultimate. Baron fell to FPX and the team went mid and crushed GAM in a sweep to take the Nexus.

CTBC J Team vs Splyce
First blood and the game came to Splyce (“SPY”) as Rest ran into the jungle to chase a kill but ended up dying with no return. Humanoid teleported behind CTBC J Team (“JT”) to take the second kill. Top lane was dove by SPY and netted them a kill, but when they tried to go to Rift Herald JT took a kill and prevented the objective. SPY returned to the Rift herald and used it middle while Vizicsacsi took the first tower top.
Despite a solid 2-2 trade in the bottom lane SPY was able to push through the bottom tower. Stopwatch empowered Humanoid to turn around a lost fight to a 2-1 advantage and the Baron Nashor for his team. Fofo dropped to a gank in the top lane and gave SPY the opening to push into the middle and top inhibitor towers. Xerxe and Vizicsacsi engaged to take five final kills and the Nexus.

GAM Esports vs CTBC J Team
Knockout Stage remained in their hopes as JT secured their first victory of the day. Creative pathing from Levi gave him the opening to give Kiaya the first blood in the middle lane. He pushed for a gank on the top lane, but beautiful play from Rest allowed him to turn for a 1v2 kill. This time with Kiaya, GAM tried to dive Rest, but he pulled out a 1v3 kill and stayed alive. JT made their first aggressive play and went mid to get a kill on Kiaya. A pick went to GAM as Koala was chased from the bottom lane. They finally got Rest, but a bottom lane dive kept the score in JT’s favor. First tower fell to JT soon after.
A 1-1 team fight was soon followed by a top lane pick for JT. GAM forced top lane, but JT responded to even the fight to a two-for-two. They returned but this time handedly lost in a 2-1. Baron fell into their sights as GAM took two picks in the top lane. But JT wouldn’t let them get it for free; they swept them and took the Baron for themselves. Odds were stacked against GAM with Baron minions, BM from rest and a massive gold lead. Finally, they engaged, but JT turned it for 5 free kills and the game close.

Splyce vs FunPlus Phoenix
A huge upset came out as SPY dominated FPX. Chants for Splyce filled the crowd, but FPX silenced them with a red buff invade and two burnt flashes. First blood went to Vizicsacsi as Xerxe ganked his lane. He pushed forward with this lead to get the first tower. FPX found their second Ocean Dragon from their lane control. After a huge lull state, SPY found a huge fight and took a four-for-one fight and total control of the game. Infernal Drake soon after fell to the European representatives.
A 5v5 broke out in the middle lane but SPY was able to disengage it. They then found the counter engage, found a kill and the middle tower, but Xerxe fell in response. Norskeren kept FPX in the game by falling in the middle lane. Vizicsacsi was the next focus, but the kill took so long that SPY was able to close in for a 5-2 team fight and the Baron. SPY found an engage in the middle lane and pushed forward to take a four to one fight and two inhibitors. Two repeated fights with 4-3 and 2-0 scores gave them the opening to win the game.

- Gold: 66.8k-58.4k

Splyce vs GAM Esports
SPY closed out the scheduled day with a 3-0 record. GAM started the game with a kill from a dive in the bottom lane. SPY got a dive to the top lane and took a kill but gave one in response. Another bottom lane dive came out and netted a kill to each side. They then moved their focus to the top lane. Sending three members, the VCS team killed Vizicsacsi. Rift Herald fell to them and Levi returned top to immediately use it. GAM barely beat SPY to get the first turret of the game and pushed to another one and a kill while SPY got a 3-2 trade on the bot side.
While all hope looked lost for SPY, they refused to give up. Humanoid solo killed Kiaya on the top side to flip the game on its head. As GAM went to secure the Baron Nashor the team pushed them off it repeatedly. When they returned for it SPY found a beautiful engage with their ward and took the fight for four free kills and the Baron. They took tower after tower and another huge fight to secure them the next one. Finally, the European representatives found a five kill fight and the game with a teleport from Humanoid.

FunPlus Phoenix vs CTBC J Team
Starting the game, FPX killed Hana by the bottom lane tower. They continued their aggression with another bottom lane dive that resulted in two kills. In rotation, the FPX bottom lane was caught out of position and gave a return kill, but Rift Herald went to Tian at the same time. Herald was then used mid lane to secure the first tower of the game to the blue side. Bot tower fell to them soon after.
Hoping to repeat their early success, JT pushed for another kill during their enemy’s rotation but FPX turned it around. They took three kills in the resulting skirmish and secured their lead. Lilv was soon after assassinated by Tian. On JTs attempt to take the Mountain Dragon FPX struck. Five fell to FPX while they only gave one back in response. Hana was picked in the top jungle and led to FPX focusing the Baron. When JT tried to stop it, FPX took the Baron and three more kills. They then dove through the mid lane inhibitor tower to take four kills and, soon after, the Nexus.

FunPlus Phoenix vs Splyce
FPX took first place in their group off the back of Doinb’s massive performance. GimGoon fell for first blood after Xerxe went top for a tower dive. A bottom lane team fight brought a 2-1 victory to the blue side. Teams struck back and forth as Xerxe ganked top and Tian ganked the middle lane. Vision on Xerxe in the bottom lane led to a middle lane dive and secured another kill for FPX. Rift Herald and the Ocean Drake fell to blue and red sides respectively. Herald was then used in the middle lane to secure the first turret and break the map open. Through overagression from FPX, SPY found the opening to take a 2-2 team fight and shut down the massive gator from the mid lane.
Doinb traded his life to take down Humanoid once more. FPX then took the Infernal Dragon and found a pick on Humanoid. Baron was the next pick for them, taking another kill and then losing only one in response to the buff. A 4v5 team fight in the favor of SPY broke out in the bottom lane, but the resulting kills were an even 2-2 while GimGoon took advantage in the top lane. Just when the game seemed decided, Tian and GimGoon were picked off. SPY went to the Baron, but both teams fought back and forth over mid priority. Eventually, they were pushed off and gave the Elder Dragon to their opponents, leading to a 4-1 fight and the game win.
