League of Legends: T1 Parts Ways with Mata

T1, formerly SK Telecom T1, has announced tonight that they are releasing Cho “Mata” Se-hyeong from their LCK roster. Se-hyeong is a beloved player in the Korean LoL scene and though his time at SKT was short, he will be missed.

The Korean support has played on a number of professional teams since 2012. He made multiple World Championship appearances with teams like KT Rolster and Royal Never Give Up before joining SKT in 2019. Unfortunately, Se-hyeong didn't have the results he would've liked and was benched in favor of Lee “Effort” Sang-ho.

He did play a couple of games in the 2019 World Championship, but the results were similarly lackluster. Despite these performances, Se-hyeong is an incredible player with a proven track record of success. It's not clear where he will end up yet, but any team would be lucky to have him.
