Another week is in the books and the race for playoffs is as tight as can be in the League European Championship Predictions for Week 6! We currently a two-game difference between 6th place and 8th. If we look at the standings above, there are four teams tied or separated by one game. In terms of predictions, Brandon is starting to break away with a 36-14 record. The rest are the following: Ibriz (33-17), Major (32-18), and Manny (29-21).
Friday February 22nd
12 PM ET G2 Esports vs Schalke 04
The first match of the week also happens to be the match of the week. We see leaders G2 Esports clash against Schalke 04. With the pressure of an undefeated season off of G2's shoulders, we can finally see how they will react after dropping their first game of the year. Schalke had a chance to stay just one game behind G2, but they suffered a defeat to Vitality. If Schalke wants to have a chance at a playoff bye, it feels that they have to win this game to accomplish it with ease.
Brandon: Schalke 04
Manny: G2
Major: G2
Ibriz: G2
1 PM ET Excel vs Rogue
Excel versus Rogue is a match that will fly under many people's radars. Being the two lowest ranked teams in the League could present itself as a bore fest similar to Dignitas versus Renegades back in the day. Yet, this match can be an interesting look at how Rogue develops going forward. Excel should still be the favorite, but excuses are running out for the first year team.

Manny: Rogue
Major: Excel
Ibriz: Rogue
2 PM ET Splyce vs Team Vitality
As mentioned last week, Splyce is the team that looks to be the gatekeeper between the good and the great. Sadly, for Splyce they are facing one of the great teams of the LEC. This clash has already gone in the way of Team Vitality, and it is hard to see it not go their way again. If Attila can show up the way he did against Schalke, then this game can become very one-sided in favor of the Vitality side. Splyce can still force a tie for third if they win and will be relying on Xerxe, one of the best performing junglers this split.
Brandon: Vitality
Manny: Vitality
Major: Vitality
Ibriz: Vitality
3 PM ET SK Gaming vs Misfits
Misfits Gaming seem to be in a complete free fall as they are currently sitting outside of the last playoff spot. SK Gaming is the one team in the way of the Misfits squad. SK will want to increase their advantage to two games. Misfits pulled the alarm and announced changes to their coaching staff to attempt to salvage, what became a disastrous split. This is one of the most important games this week in terms of the playoff race and should be in everyone's radar.
Brandon: SK
Manny: Misfits
Major: Misfits
Ibriz: SK
4 PM ET Origen vs Fnatic
Origen is one of the hottest teams in the LEC at the moment. After doing the unthinkable (taking down G2), last week it seems this team's ceiling is much higher than originally anticipated. Fnatic has had a better run in the past few weeks, but still, it seems that it won't be enough for them to make a legitimate push for the playoffs. Many fans hope that this match is closer than it seems, but with the current state of both teams, it seems unlikely.

Manny: Origen
Major: Fnatic
Ibriz: Origen
Saturday February 23rd
11 AM ET Fnatic vs Team Vitality
Fnatic needs to win six of the last eight games to have a possibility to make it into playoffs. Vitality is one of the strongest teams in the region and will be looking to deny any possible chance of making it into playoffs for the black and orange squad. Team Vitality also has the inspiration to obtain a playoff bye and will be looking to pick up wins against the teams ranked lower.
Brandon: Vitality
Manny: Fnatic
Major: Vitality
Ibriz: Vitality
12 PM ET Rogue vs Splyce
As the weeks went by I had the fear Splyce was going to be the team that dropped a game against Rogue first. Now, that won't be an issue, but there are some doubts that linger with the possible strength of Rogue. Splyce is the heavy favorite in this match and will be looking to keep their positive record against the teams ranked lower than them.
Brandon: Splyce
Manny: Splyce
Major: Splyce
Ibriz: Splyce
1 PM ET Excel vs G2 Esports
G2 Esports may have fallen from the undefeated perch, but it is still clear that they are the best team in EU. The first time that both Excel and G2 faced each other was also the first time we saw G2 stumble before being rescued by an astonishing Caps' performance. It does not appear to be likely for the same to happen, but we can always be looking for a potential upset.
Brandon: G2
Manny: G2
Major: G2
Ibriz: G2
2 PM ET SK Gaming vs Schalke 04
SK versus Schalke nicknamed the German Classic by both teams will have many ramifications to the playoff battle that is starting to shape up. Schalke are the favorites in this match but will need to be cautious as they have dropped games that some did not expect. SK wants to start picking up more wins to solidify there spot in playoffs. This game will be determined on what Schalke side we see.
Brandon: Schalke 04
Manny: Schalke 04
Major: Schalke 04
Ibriz: Schalke 04
3 PM ET Origen vs Misfits
Origen and Misfits first encountered each other in week two of the split. During this time Misfits were one of the best teams in the LEC. Since they have gone a mediocre 1-5, while, Origen have had the opposite run of events. This match will be favoring Origen due to the recent form that both teams have shown. This could be a captivating game for many to watch, but it could also go heavily in favor of Origen.
Brandon: Origen
Manny: Origen
Major: Origen
Ibriz: Origen
