KT Rolster vs Weibo Gaming pits the two strongest 1-1 teams against each other, but only one can get closer to salvation.
After the first two days of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, the 16 teams have separated into 3 groups: the 2-0 squads, the 1-1 teams and those with 0-2, one the verge of elimination. On Saturday, 2 of the 2-0 teams have qualified to the Knockout Stage, so JD Gaming and Gen.G can take a breather, while G2 Esports and LNG Esports will have at least another round.
Weibo Gaming and KT Rolster will try to join G2 and LNG in the group of 2-1 squads – but only one of them can.
KT Rolster vs Weibo Gaming Preview
Bdd and his teammates had ain interesting year: while they ended most of the LCK segments on the 3rd place, they won the Summer Regular Season with an almost perfect scoreline, then after the 17-1, they managed to defeat Hanwha Life to win the Regional Finals.
At Worlds, they had an incredibly close match against Bilibili Gaming, where they held out until the last of their strength, but after 45 minutes, and 3 Baron Nashors, their defences crumbled. They bounced back against Dplus KIA, showing that even ex-Worlds winners can bleed, shutting down Canyon and Deft. While KT doesn’t have a clean standout player so far, they are very strong as a team.

Weibo Gaming came out of left field during the Summer LPL split, getting the 2nd place of the Regional Finals after finishing 6th in the Playoffs. They have defeated NRG with ease, showcasing the raw power that the team of Rumble, Poppy, Azir, Kai’Sa and Leona can put out. They got both the first turret and first blood, as well as 3 out of 4 Dragons, but ended the game before they needed the Soul.
They couldn’t defeat G2 Esports, but it took the LEC 1st seed almost 4 minutes and multiple clutch teamfights to turn the tides. TheShy and his team played well, especially the toplaner on K’Sante, but after G2 scaled and WeiWei fell off on Vi, they couldn’t defend their Nexus – but they got all but 3 objectives in the match.

KT Rolster vs Weibo Gaming Predictions
Even though Weibo Gaming is an LPL team, TheShy and co. doesn’t like to fight in the early game. If KT can find some leads before the laning phase ends, they can put WBG into an unfavourable position. Draft will be the most important aspect of the match, as we saw what Weibo can do with some strong champions.
