Jersey Mike’s and Team Liquid have announced a sponsorship for the 2019 Season, continuing Jersey Mike’s marketing strategy of targeting League of Legends players and fans.
Jersey Mike’s first foray into team sponsorships comes a season after they sponsored the NA LCS Summer Split (rebranded to “LCS” in December), offering prizes, in-game items, and Hextech Chests to fans who purchased subs from Jersey Mikes.
Per the press release, Jersey Mike’s will be implementing several marketing strategies to drive traffic to the brand, including jersey and gift card giveaways on “Jersey Thursdays,” a downloadable look inside the team through “Jersey Mic’d,” a visit to TL’s Alienware Training Center grand prize in “A Fan Above,” and sandwich discounts after TL match wins nicknamed “Subs for Dubs.” These promotions begin January 17th, and the first “Jersey Thursday” will feature the newest member to Team Liquid LoL, mid laner Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen.
For Team Liquid, this is just another large fish for them in the sponsorship pond, having recently paired with Alienware to create the 9,000 square foot Alienware Training Facility, located in Los Angeles, CA.
