The League of Legends offseason has started off with a bang. Cloud9’s starting mid laner Nicolaj Jensen has moved to Team Liquid.
Jensen who has played LoL for Cloud9 since 2015, has been a key team member. Jensen helped Cloud9 reach the Worlds 2018 Semifinals, and the NA LCS 2018 Summer Split Finals. Jensen started at mid lane for Cloud9 during the 2018 Regional Finals, Summer Playoffs and at Worlds 2018.
Jensen stated: “respect and gratitude for Cloud9. Cloud9 and I may be separating ways in the LCS, but one thing is certain, family really is forever.”
Cloud9 owner Jack Etienne said: “Jensen is family to everyone here at the organization and to say we’re grateful for what he has helped us achieve feels too underwhelming. This house won’t be the same, this team won’t be the same, but he knows he has lifelong friends and family here for him and it has been a gift getting to work with him. We wish him nothing but the best and eagerly await our paths crossing once more.”
Jensen challenged TSM’s Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg for NA LCS’ top mid laner.
Jensen will likely replace Eugene “Pobelter” Park, but they may split time.
More information to come regarding Team Liquid, Cloud 9 and the rest of the League of Legends squads.
