This week the Call of Duty League will be hosting its first Scouting Series, here’s all the info you need.
The Call of Duty League will be inviting all the best Challengers and ex-pros to compete in the Scouting Series. A four-day event that will see CDL coaches draft teams, and play scrims against each other to see the talent available in the Challengers division.
Who gets invited?
According to the Call of Duty League:
“A total of 128 players will be invited to the event (64 players in North America and 64 in Europe). Invitations are determined by points collected during the 2020 season. The event will feature a mixture of the top-ranked Call of Duty Challengers players and unsigned Call of Duty League pro players from the 2020 season. During each day of the four-day event, 48 players per region will be drafted into matches by Call of Duty League teams.”
Currently, we know that the invited players consist of the top 40 Challengers along with some ex-professional players from the 2020 Call of Duty League season.
Players to look out for
With two Challengers Cups under their belts, competitors will be more than ready to show what they’ve got. On the North American side of things, WestR has been dominant. PaulEhx has been a vital part of this, putting up some incredibly good stats across both events.
As for Europe, youngster Afro has been heating up this season. Coming off the back of a Challengers Championship with Team WaR in 2020, Afro has continued to play out of his skin, winning the first Challengers Cup with House Tarth.
Schedule and How to Watch
The Scouting Series starts on December 15 and will conclude on December 18. While we don't know the exact times, we expect both the NA and European scrimmages to take place relative to the timezone. The Call of Duty League will NOT be streaming the Scouting Series. However, teams have the ability to stream if they wish to do so, so keep an eye on their socials.
