Why is winter so dangerous in Manor Lords?
Manor Lords is a game where you can experience all 4 seasons. Each one has its specifics, but Winter is a lot more dangerous. During that time, you will have limited access to specific resources and food. Furthermore, you will have to waste more resources, and your citizens could die if they are not prepared for what is to come.
Learning how to survive winter in Manor Lords isn’t easy. Luckily, we have a few tips that can help you, so let’s dive in.
How to Survive Winter in Manor Lords – Taking a different approach to your families
Since winters can be hard in Manor Lords, an important thing to remember is to assign your families specific jobs that will allow them to survive the season. In other words, think carefully about the jobs they are doing and whether they can keep doing them during the winter.
Of course, when doing this, you have to give them a new role that will allow them to stay busy until winter is over. Once that happens, you can roll them back to their original positions. Keep in mind that you must do this on time because otherwise, you won’t have enough resources.
Make sure you have enough food and fuel
If you want to know how to survive winter in Manor Lords, you need to have resources. It’s no surprise that the first thing that comes to mind is food. We recommend stacking eggs, bread, and meat so your villagers have access to enough food.
Fuel is another important resource you need to have if you want to stay warm. Since winters are cold, you need to keep your villagers warm, which will require you to have enough food. We recommend getting at least one Woodcutter’s Lodger.
Going back to the importance of food, besides just stacking it, you need to make sure you have at least a couple of different options. Our tests have shown that stacking one type of food increases the chances of getting a disease, so diversifying is key.
If, however, your villagers get sick, you need to be able to treat them, which requires herbs. It is very important to have some in stock before winter comes because once that happens in Manor Lords, you won’t be able to harvest anything.
Give homes to the villagers who do not have one
Another thing you should do if you want to know how to survive winter in Manor Lords is to house those without a home. Building housing is incredibly important because if you don’t do that, those without a home will die.
Convert some materials and have a trading post
Aside from food, we’ve also mentioned you need to have fuel in order to survive the Manor Lords winter. You can do that by using charcoal because it is way more efficient than wood. Many people think wood is better, but this is not the case, and using Charcoal will make you way more efficient.
In terms of the trading post, this is an excellent wait to get even more resources you will need to survive winter in Manor Lords. Once you build something like this, you can sell the resources you do not need.
