How to Claim Regions in Manor Lords

In Manor Lords, there are a lot of things to take care of and worry about since it is a game where you will have to manage different cities, both from an economic, population, and infrastructure point of view. One of the things you will have to do to be able to do this is to claim the regions that are present on the game map. But how is it done?

In this article, we will explain everything you need to know about this aspect of the game so that you can continue your adventure and continue to expand your horizons. In fact, one of the purposes of Manor Lords is precisely to be able to manage as many territories as possible, obviously with criteria.

How to Claim Regions in Manor Lords

Taking over other regions is vitally important in a game like Manor Lords, so the sooner you learn how to do it, the sooner you'll be able to expand your empire. Obviously, however, it will not be a very simple thing, especially if we are talking about regions that already belong to someone else. In this article, in fact, we will tell you both how to claim unclaimed regions and already claimed regions.

Unclaimed Regions

A place that nobody owns or controls is easier to take over because it costs less, and you won't have to fight against another leader if they're playing the game too. It's not free to take over a place, though. You'll need to have at least 1000 Influence or get the King's Favor to claim one.

To gain Influence you need to expand your area and focus on defeating the bandits. When you're ready to claim a spot, just zoom out until you see the whole map, then click on the place you want. You can choose to claim it using Influence or the King's Favor. Once you have picked a spot to claim, it takes a month for it to officially be yours.

After that, you can do whatever you want with it. If you want to build a new town in a place you have claimed, you will need to make a Settler's Camp there. You can find this in the Construction menu under Administration. When you make a Settler's Camp, the game will let you pick what kind of town it will be and how many supplies it starts with. Once you have chosen, you can start making the town bigger and better.

Note: You don't have to build a town to claim a place. This is important if you want to win by conquering, because you can focus on making a few big towns instead of lots of small ones.

Claimed Regions

If another leader already owns a place you want, it's going to be tougher to take it from them. You will have to use more of your stuff, and they will try to stop you from taking their land. Get ready to fight their army to win over their territory.

Unlike taking a place nobody owns, taking one from another leader will cost you more Influence, about 2000. It's important to get rid of all the bandits in the area before your opponent does so you can get Influence instead of them. When you go to claim a spot owned by another leader, they might start a war to keep you away.

Note: Before you try to take their place, make sure your army is strong enough and ready for a fight.

When your army is set, look at the whole map and choose which place you want to take from your opponent. Then, wait for them to challenge your claim and start the war. You will see a message saying you need to win a battle in a certain number of days. You can see where the fight will happen by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the top left of your screen.

Once you win the battle and beat their forces, the place will officially be yours. Remember, you can also stop another leader's claim by starting a war with them. Just make sure to challenge their claim before a month passes and it becomes official. If you win the war, you get the place without spending any Influence or King's Favour.

Note: If you see a message saying your opponent is trying to claim a place, be ready to act. Keep an eye on the top left of your screen so you don't miss it.
