The third boss that you will have to face in Ghostrunner 2 is actually not a conventional battle against a single enemy like in other Ghostrunner 2 bosses, but rather it is several waves that you will have to face. This Ghostrunner 2 Hostiles boss may therefore seem simple to deal with, but that is not the case at all. There are many enemies and they come out in waves that are progressively more difficult to face. In any case, in this article, we will show you the strategy to use to defeat this threat.
Ghostrunner 2 Hostile boss: How to beat them
This fight consists of several waves of enemies that you will have to kill in order to stop the attack on your headquarters. Although it is theoretically divided into different phases, we will not use the usual division to indicate the various phases, as the strategy to be used is almost identical for each wave of enemies. First of all, the first thing to know is that once you have eliminated an enemy in the arena, you will remove a certain amount of health from the usual health bar found at the top center of your screen. But how should you proceed and what is this Ghostrunner 2 Hostiles boss fight actually about?
Then, basically, you will arrive outside your general neighborhood and you will see enemies who will be intent on shooting at your defenses. At this point, since the enemies will not yet know of your presence, use this advantage in your favor to line up some stealth kills, in case you succeed. If not, get straight into the frenetic action and defeat the enemies that are present in the arena. For each stage, there will be more or less a dozen enemies to face and eliminate.
The enemies present in the first wave are all quite simple to eliminate, as they are those that use melee attacks or those that shoot. Therefore, use dodge and/or parry to get close and kill them. For those who throw projectiles, you can also deflect their projectiles and send them after the sender for an instant kill. Once you have eliminated the first wave of enemies, a second wave will arrive which, this time, will present more difficult enemies to face.
Pay particular attention to enemies with laser cannons, jumping ones, and robots, as these are the most difficult ones to face and defeat. However, if you make use of your shuriken, you will be able to immobilize yourself and teleport to them with the grapple for a quick and easy kill. Obviously, don't underestimate the rest of the enemies, especially those who can shoot, as they are capable of killing you even from afar if you come within their range. Once you have overcome this second wave, prepare to face a third wave of enemies.
The peculiarity of this third wave is that, at this point, there will also be orange barriers that will not let you move freely around the gaming arena, and which can make your life more difficult. Even in this case, there will be many hostiles present and they will all have to be eliminated in order to put an end to this clash. As we have already said, pay attention to the elite enemies, of which there will be more in this phase, as they are the most dangerous ones to deal with.
In any case, practically the same advice applies to all three waves of hostiles. The most important thing to do is to always be on the move and to stay in one position for too long. Use the shelters and objects that are present in the arena and also the overhead attachment points to catch your enemies from above and off guard. Take some time to see how the environment is structured and how the enemies are positioned, so that you know what to do and when to attack.
Furthermore, since you will have to be on the move a lot and do some platforming, be careful in these phases not to fall into the void that separates the right side of the arena from the left. However, in the event that you die between one phase and another, as also happens with the other boss fights, you will not have to repeat the entire battle from the beginning, but only from the phase you are facing at that moment. Ultimately, if you stay on the move and make good use of what the surrounding environment offers you, trying to alternate your attack pattern as much as possible, you should be able to defeat this Ghostrunner 2 boss without having many problems and will thus be able to continue with the game.
