of the strongest playoffs teams in the LEC — G2 Esports vs Team BDS — duke it out for the last chance at the Summer Split Grand Final.
With another win under Team BDS' belt, Adam and co. moves on to face the biggest threat in the double-elimination bracket, under a storyline that recalls T1's journey in last year's Worlds. Meanwhile, G2 Esports has been diligent in scrims ever since Fnatic beat them in a Silver Scrapes best-of-five (BO5), so they have all the preparation they need for this fight— and possibly better odds.
Will BDS finally take a silver trophy home? Or will G2 Esports dominate the split and claim their third consecutive split? We discuss the best betting odds and more in our G2 Esports vs Team BDS best-of-five (BO5) predictions guide below.

G2 Esports vs Team BDS Prediction: Come for the Kings, You Best Not Miss
G2 Esports is without a doubt the best team the LEC has ever produced, and it's hard not to root for them even at their worst. And even if they lagged behind in the BO1's, The Kings of Europe have climbed out of worse spots.
Promises to improve from their lacklustre performance last Spring have been met with interest. Caps' team have stayed consistent in both macro and meta advantage this split. So we're very confident in their ability to take this BO5 3-1 and get themselves to a Grand Final El Clasico against Fnatic.
Regional Legends
G2 has participated in a lot of international championships over the years, recently sharing the 3rd/4th place spot in the Esports World Cup with NA's strongest: Team Liquid. But while they've been bested by Eastern rosters, G2 Esports are titans in their home court. And they've only been knocked down a couple of times before.
In Their Own League
G2's well-oiled machine of a roster remains unchanged due to how omnipresent Yike and his team feel on the Rift. Their midlaner Rasmus “Caps” Winther has mastered his craft, earning him his “Baby Faker” nickname early in his career. And ADC Hans Sama has a history of turning 5k gold deficits around by himself. That is, if he doesn't already have 8 kills in the laning phase.
G2 Esports vs Team BDS: Best Betting Odds
After looking at the stats, here are the best teams to bet on for the LEC Summer lower round semifinal.
- G2 Esports Win: If BDS Labrov and Ice don't pull off another laneswap 3v3 play, tides will blow in G2's favor through and through.
- G2 Esports First Blood: Jungle skirmishes and midlane plays get G2 their first kills most of the time unless they're taken by surprise.
- G2 Esports First Tower: Bet on G2 Caps or Hans Sama making a play for the first tower of the game.
G2 Esports vs Team BDS Preview
You've heard our predictions and betting odds for G2 Esports vs Team BDS this Saturday, now let's look at how each team has fared so far — and what can improve their chances of winning.
G2 Esports
Teams like G2 Esports are like crouching tigers that pounce only once the stakes are at their highest. They were relatively tame in the Summer Season, but now that they're close to a three-peat, Caps and co. are coming for it all.
This rematch will probably go quick if Team BDS doesn't learn from their last defeat. G2's botlane is strong, but isolating them will force Summoner Spells which will put them on the backfoot for future teamfights.
That said, toplaner Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik has a knack for controlling fights with Renekton and Jayce. So BDS will need a lot of firepower to match his menace.
G2 Esports Roster
- Toplaner: Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik
- Jungler:Martin “Yike” Sundelin
- Midlaner: Rasmus “Caps” Winther
- Botlaner: Steven “Hans Sama” Liv
- Support: Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle
Team BDS
Another momentous victory puts BDS on track for another Grand Final. This is the closest they've gone since last Spring, so Adam and co. are gearing up for their hardest challenge so far.
The Swiss roster was on an aggressive roll in their KC fight. 15 minutes into their first and second match, Team BDS was snowballing hard thanks to Adam and Ice working in tandem. But they lacked the crowd-control to win 3-0 against Karmine Corp, a lesson they can take with them in their next BO5.
Team BDS Roster
- Toplaner: Adam “Adam” Maanane
- Jungler: Théo “Sheo” Borile
- Midlaner: Ilias “nuc” Bizriken
- Botlaner: Juš “Crownie” Marušič
- Support: Yoon “Ice” Sang-hoon
