Fortnite chapter 4 Season 2 is in full swing with a new batch of weapons, big changes in the C4 S2 patch notes, but there’s also a new Battle Pass. For a lot of players, the Battle Pass is the deciding factor in how much they play that season. Are the skins contained worth spending time grinding up to get to those bonus levels this time around though?
The Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass is a bit of a departure from the last few seasons. There are fewer crossovers and a bigger focus on original characters! Refreshingly there are some of Fortnite's coolest designs in recent years. The focus on original characters seems to have paid off this season. There are quite a few skins spread across the Battle Pass, a bonus skin, and we might see the return of mid-season drops for extra free styles in a few months.
This is what’s in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass, how you can unlock everything, and what extra content is going to be included over the coming months.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass New Skins
There are loads of different cosmetics in each pass, but it’s the new skins that pull the most attention. This season we’ve got more original skins in the Battle Pass than we have for quite a while. The first two pages of the Pass are all about Renzo the Destroyer. He is apparently the Galaxy’s Premier Doomfluencer, whatever that means! He’s a weird-looking character with a Mohawk.
The next new skin is Imani. They’re a musician with a slightly more anime look to them. Then we have Thunder, he’s a character that’s been central to marketing for the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass. He’s a lizard sushi chef. His variants are definitely fun enough to live up to this kind of crazy idea for a skin.
The next one is Mystica, a Space Worrier with a Samurai look. We then have Stray which is a new skin that’s pretty similar to Drift. Highwire is next, a girl in all black sporting bunny ears and a wolf mask in some variants.
River Empress Mizuki is the final skin in the battle Pass. She’s designed after traditional Japanese emperors. There’s more in the Pass though, we’ll get Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan as the final Bonus reward. Then there are extra styles for each of these new skins in the bonus rewards, and for the first-time special unlocks just for completing weekly quests!

How Does the Battle Pass Work?
That’s everything that’s going to be in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass. How do you unlock everything and make sure you get the most value though? There’s a simple system for redeeming the rewards. It’s all built around the Battle Stars.
Each time you level up in Fortnite you’re going to get extra Battle Stars. These are a currency that only applies to one season’s Battle Pass. You spend these Battle Stars on items within the pass to unlock them. However, you can’t pick out of the entire Battle Pass like a catalogue. Instead, you have to unlock some things in a specific order.
Each page of the Battle Pass will only unlock once you hit a particular level. On top of that, some rewards require you to have cleared everything on a page to get access to it. This means you’ll likely have to unlock everything before you get to the Tier 100 skin and extra styles. However, the order that you get rewards on each page is up to you. If you don’t quite finish the Battle Pass, you’re able to prioritize and make sure you unlock the skins that you want.
That’s how everything works. Getting through the Battle Pass shouldn’t be too hard as the season is projected to be a longer one. Focus on challenges and getting Victory Royales if you want to maximise your levels and get all of the bonus rewards though. It’ll still take a fair bit of grinding to get all the way up to the top.
