How to Get the Feline Familiar Pet in World of Warcraft

Learn how to get the Feline Familiar Pet in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. Note, this is only active during the World of Warcraft Hallow's End event.

It’s the season for all things spooky in World of Warcraft, which means it’s time to get in the spirit of Hallow’s End. In this guide, we’ll look at how to get the Feline Familiar pet in World of Warcraft, which you can grab for a limited time during the Hallow’s End event. Unlike the Headless Horseman’s Mount, the Feline Familiar isn’t a drop. Instead, you’ll need to collect 150 Tricky Treats to add this kitty companion to your collection.

How to obtain the Feline Familiar Pet

To get the Feline Familiar, you’ll need to head to your faction’s Hallow’s End event hub. These can be found outside Stormwind and Undercity, for Alliance and Horde respectively. These vendors are located in slightly weird spots if you’re not used to the event, or to venturing outside your city walls.

For Horde players, you’ll probably need to speak to the time changer NPC named Zidormi (she’ll appear on your map) outside Undercity and change back to pre-BFA Undercity. That way the city won’t be as full of deadly green gas as it is now, and you’ll see the Hallow’s End event. You’ll find the kids just inside the city walls (pictured below) to purchase the cat, along with a number of other fun Hallow’s End items to acquire by using Tricky Treats.

For Stormwind, you just need to head outside the main gate on your way to Goldshire. You’ll see them on your right side, opposite the burning giant wicker man. The two factions sell the same items, with a few obvious faction-specific masks only available to the opposite faction, so you can wear a mask to scare the little guys. These children are also located in the main quest hub for Hallow’s End, which means that you’ll already be in a good place to start your Tricky Treats collecting journey.

How to obtain Tricky Treats

The Feline Familiar isn’t as hard as some rare event items. However, it will require a little effort to collect the tokens. Getting Tricky Treats can be done in a number of ways. One of the easiest is to simply do the daily Headless Horseman’s dungeon queue for a Loot-Filled Pumpkin, which will always contain a few.

Alternatively, you can do a number of quests. In total there are 10 quests per faction, with 6 being Daily Quests. These quests will offer you from 1 to 4 Tricky Treats each, with “Hallow’s End Treats for Jesper! (Spoops for Horde)” offering you 10 to get you started. For a full list of the quests and guides on how to do them, head over to WoW fansite Wowhead.

While you can do the daily quests on multiple characters, the Tricky Treats are Bind on Pickup (BOP), so your best bet would be to target one item per character, rather than spreading yourself too thin.

Once you have your 150 Treats, simply head to the kids shown above and purchase your new favorite companion. For those Battle Pet fans among you, you can check out how the Feline Familiar stacks up in-game. It’s also worth noting that the Feline Familiar is one of the cats required for the Crazy Cat Lady/Man title. This title is obtained via the Crazy for Cats achievement requiring you to obtain 20 cats from a list of 26, some of which are store pets. This makes the Feline Familiar an easy addition if you want to save some cash.
