EWC 2024 Format
In addition to the standard solo tournaments in each game, EWC 2024 introduces an innovative cross-game rating system. Teams and organizations will earn points based on the performance of their players across all competitions.
The esports organization with the most points across all 19 titles will be crowned the undisputed “Best Esports Club in the World,” etching their name on the prestigious EWC trophy and claiming a hefty additional prize pool.
With this innovative framework, the tournament evolves beyond the confines of single-game supremacy. Organizations will have to focus on multiple disciplines to become the champions, instead of highlighting a select few.

A record-breaking $60 million prize pool fuels the fires of competition at the EWC! It dwarfs the previous world record of $45 million, which was also set by a Saudi Arabian event (Gamers8). This staggering sum will be distributed across four categories: $20 million will crown the ultimate esports club in the Club Championship. Over $30 million will be awarded to individual game champions across the 19 featured titles. Additionally, $7.6 million will empower aspiring players through qualifier events, and $1.1 million will be dedicated to recognizing the Most Valuable Players of each competition.
Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, says:”Setting the record for the largest esports prize pool is a remarkable achievement, but what I'm most proud of is the positive message this sends to the wider esports and gaming community.
“More than $60m is a testament to our investment in the future of global esports, a commitment to esports fans who deserve exceptional events, and an extension of our mission to create meaningful competitive opportunities, with life-changing prize pools, for esports athletes everywhere.”
