EMEA Masters 2024 Spring Schedule, Standings and How to Watch

The second biggest League of Legends tournament in Europe has started, so here’s the EMEA Masters 2024 Spring schedule and everything you need to know about the international Tier 2 event.

Even though the LEC and the other big leagues are on a break, fans don’t have to spend their days without professional League of Legends. The EMEA Masters – the tournament which is the culmination of all the EMEA Regional Leagues, the “second division” of European League of Legends – kicked off on April 15th. The 28 teams from various national leagues battle it out until April 28th to decide who will be the best ERL team, and to shine some light on up-and-coming rookies for LEC (and potentially LCS) teams to pick up! Here’s everything you need to know about the EMEA Masters 2024 Spring.

EMEA Masters 2024 Spring Format

The Spring EMEA Masters will be played on Patch 14.7 with the reworked Skarner disabled, and consists of 2 phases: the Play-Ins and the Main Event. In the Play-Ins, 16 teams participate, made up of the best teams of smaller ERL’s and the 3rd seeds of the main ones such as the French LFL and the Turkish TCL. The teams are drawn into 4 Double Round Robin groups and duke it out in Best of 1 matches. The top 2 teams advance to the Knockout Stage of the Play-Ins, with the 1st placed teams of each group facing off against the 2nd place team of another group in Bo3 Knockout matches. The winners of these bouts proceed to the Main Event.

In the Main Event, the 4 best Play-In squads join the 12 best teams of the bigger ERL’s like the aforementioned LFL and TCL, but also the German Prime League and the Spanish SuperLiga. The 16 total teams are drawn into 4 groups again, but this time, seeding counts and one region can only have one team in each group. The matches for the Group Stage are once again Bo1’s with a Double Round Robin format, meaning that all teams meet twice. The 2 best teams of each group then advance to the Knockout Stage.

The last hurdle of EMEA Masters is an 8 team single elimination bracket with Bo5 series, and at the end of it, only 1 team can reign supreme. This all happens in just 10 days, which is insane in it’s own right.
