Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Trailer is Coming on…

The first Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree trailer is nearly here

Prepare to return to the Lands Between, Tarnished! Elden Ring developer FromSoftware announced on Tuesday that the highly anticipated first trailer for the open-world RPG's expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, is dropping soon. Shadow of Entree will be the first DLC release for the game following the Colloseum update in 2022.

When is the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Trailer Coming?

The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree trailer is slated to premiere on Wednesday, February 21st, at 7 AM PST/ 10 AM ET/4 PM CET, exclusively on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel. It has also been confirmed that the trailer will treat fans with a 3-minute gameplay reveal and subtitles will be available in multiple languages.

Although Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was unveiled last February, details regarding its DLC for the Game of the Year 2022 remain scarce, with developer FromSoftware keeping information tightly under wraps.

Although a developer from the studio mentioned in December that the project is still “a little ways off,” recent Steam records suggest that it has transitioned from QA to debugging, indicating that the final stages of development are underway.

A single piece of artwork was also revealed by the developers beside the official announcement. It offered tantalizing glimpses into the game’s setting and central characters. This enigmatic image hinted at the involvement of Miquella, the Empyrean demigod and twin brother of fearsome Malenia. Miquella's presence is teased in the Mohg battle, where he is depicted trapped within a revolting egg sac.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Release Date: When is It Coming?

Elden Ring:Shadow of the Erdtree release date has not been announced yet, but according to an insider, the DLC could drop on June 21, 2024.

The June 21st speculation stems from Billbil-kun of Dealabs, a consistently reliable source for leaks on PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass, and Epic Games Store releases. While it's always prudent to remain skeptical, Billbil-kun's history of accurate leaks grants them a certain level of trustworthiness.

This speculation is based on unconfirmed information about new Elden Ring editions, including a Game of the Year Edition and a Collector's Edition for the DLC, both rumored to released on that date.

As per Billbil-kun, the Game of the Year (GOTY) edition is listed at 79.99 euros, while the Collector's Edition carries a price tag of 259.99 euros. Approximately converted to USD, these figures hover around $86.47 and $281.05, indicating likely prices of $89.99 and $299.

It's worth noting that fans can also opt for DLC purchases separately from these editions. While Billbil-kun couldn't detail the contents of the Collector's Edition, it is expected to differ from the standard Collector's Edition of Elden Ring.
