Find out everything you need to know about EA FC Tactical, the EA FC 24 expansion that is set for an early 2024 release

EA Sports has recently provided a wealth of additional information regarding EA FC Tactical, an exciting free-to-play mobile game that offers a unique, turn-based take on its recently rebranded FIFA series, EA FC. The eagerly awaited launch date is set for “early 2024,” and it's worth noting that the game will be available for both iOS and Android platforms.

EA FC Tactical was first introduced during EA's major reveal of its reimagined soccer series back in July. Back then, information about the game was rather limited, leaving fans of soccer gaming in a state of anticipation. As we are a few weeks into the EA FC era, EA has taken the initiative to provide more comprehensive details about its next soccer game offering. The significant development to note is that pre-registration has commenced, allowing eager players to sign up for the game on both the iOS App Store and Google Play.

EA FC Tactical vs EA FC Mobile: What’s the Difference?

It's essential to distinguish Tactical from EA Sports FC Mobile, as the two are distinct gaming experiences. While Tactical is poised to provide an innovative and strategic twist on soccer gaming, EA Sports FC Mobile is a free update integrated into FIFA Mobile. So, fans of the beautiful game have an array of exciting options to choose from, depending on their preferred style of play and desired level of engagement.

When is FC Tactical Coming Out? Is It Free to Play?

Although EA's official press release doesn't explicitly label the game as “free-to-play,” a closer look at its App Store listing reveals this to be the case. This significant detail narrows down the previously vague release window of “early 2024” to a specific date, namely the 18th of January 2024.

What is FC Tactical?

In EA's vision for Tactical, the spotlight is firmly on in-game strategies, with a particular focus on managing crucial elements such as player stamina and the art of executing power-plays. It's an innovative approach that reimagines the typical match action seen in EA Sports FC titles, transforming it into a captivating turn-based gaming experience.

This new gameplay dynamic entails opponents taking turns to engage in various aspects of the game. In each round, players have the opportunity to strategize, defending their goal, launching attacks, displaying skillful moves, and aiming for those all-important goals.

It's a fresh and strategic take on soccer gaming, inviting players to outsmart their opponents and make precise, calculated decisions at every turn. This approach introduces a layer of depth and thoughtfulness that adds a new dimension to the world of virtual soccer, making Tactical an exciting and dynamic mobile gaming experience for fans worldwide.

“EA Sports FC Tactical embraces strategic gameplay to create an all-new football experience that immerses players in the world’s game like never before,” according to Nick Wlodyka, the EA FC senior vice president and general manager.

“We’re excited to welcome fans of turn-based strategy games to join the club as part of the EA Sports FC player community, and look forward to sharing more on EA SPORTS FC Tactical soon.”

EA Sports will introduce “interactive simulation” in FC Tactical, to provide players with an immersive and strategic experience, and allow them to take command of the pitch in a way that's never been seen before in mobile soccer gaming.

The excitement doesn't stop there! Tactical boasts an extensive roster of over 5,000 authentic soccer stars, drawn from a diverse array of over ten prominent leagues. Soccer aficionados can expect to see familiar faces from renowned leagues such as the Premier League, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Serie A. This comprehensive lineup of players from top-tier leagues ensures that you'll have the opportunity to build your dream team with real-world superstars.
