Dragon’s Dogma 2 Map Locations – Regions, Cities, and More

What kind of open world would it be if there wasn't a huge map to explore? The Dragon's Dogma 2 map is divided into regions, each of which has cities and points of interest that you should definitely visit. Some will be obligatory visits for the continuation of your adventure, while others may even go unnoticed, unless you are an expert explorer. So let's see what places are worth visiting in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Map Locations

First of all, let's start by saying that the Dragon's Dogma 2 map is essentially divided into two large regions: Vermund and Battahl. Within these two large regions, however, there are many points of interest that are worth visiting. Both on a gameplay level to face enemies, talk to NPCs, etc, but also simply to admire the landscapes that make up the game world.

Regions

We know that the Dragon's Dogma 2 map is divided into two regions, so let's see what they are and what their characteristics are.

Vermund

Vermund is a kingdom ruled by the Sovran, a royal family who have defeated the Dragon’s Dogma 2 dragon many times. The main city is like Gran Soren, with high stone walls for safety. But people are talking about someone who isn't a real hero, causing problems. Queen Regent Disa wants her son Sven, who isn't supposed to be king, to take over. Outside the city, Vermund is a pretty place with forests, mountains, and creatures like goblins, bears, and griffins.

Battahl

Battahl is a desert kingdom of the Beastren, a new race in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that lives in the harsh desert. Battahl mostly has dry, empty land and rocky canyons, but its cities are like bright gems in the rough. Unlike humans, the Beastren are scared of Dragon’s Dogma 2 Pawns, maybe because of a disease spreading through the Rift. The people of Battahl follow Empress Nadinia and worship the Lambent Flame. If an Arisen goes through Battahl, they shouldn't expect a warm welcome, but there are many quests to try and win over the Battahlians.

Cities

Within these two macro regions that we have just described to you, there are several cities. Some of them are more important than others, so we will give you a general overview of the main cities you will be able to visit in Dragon's Dogma 2.

Vernworth

Vernworth is the first big city you'll find on your journey, and it's the main place to go at the beginning of the game. Captain Brant is here and he'll give you lots of tasks to do. You can also find the castle, where Disa lives. But she might not be exactly who she seems. Vernworth has good ways to get out of the city, like an Oxcart that can help you. Lots of different people come and go from here every day.

Sacred Arbor

The Sacred Arbor is where the elves live, and it's pretty far away from humans and Beastren. Because of that, most elves here only speak their own language and can't talk with humans or Beastren. So, if you want to go there, you'll need to find an elf who can translate for you.

Bakbattahl

This is the second big city in the game. It's in the big desert area of Battahl, which can be tough to travel through. But besides that, Bakbattahl has a lot of missions and extra tasks to do in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Checkpoint Rest Town

Checkpoint Rest Town is exactly what it sounds like – a spot to take a break and recover. It's right on the border between Vermund and Battahl. People stop here before going into Battahl's tough desert and facing tougher enemies.

Melve

Melve is a little village you'll reach right after meeting the Medusa at the start of the story. Even though it's small, there are a few extra tasks you can do there.
