Dplus KIA vs Team BDS Recap Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage Day 5.

It was the battle of the fourth seed on Day 5, as Dplus Kia vs Team BDS saw LCK take on LEC in this crucial next stage of the Swiss Bracket. This best of three would move the winning side within touching distance of securing a spot at the latter stages of Worlds. Lose, however, and you face near elimination.

Dplus KIA vs Team BDS Recap – Game 1

DK vs BDS Draft 1

A clean first blood for BDS, as they looked to go toe-to-toe with their fellow fourth seed from the LCK. Sadly for BDS fans, DK quickly found a way back in with a kill onto the top side of the Rift. Another fight in the Drake side of the river, this time a 1-for-1 trade, though BDS use a lot more summoner spells as a result, as DK moved 1k ahead. While the Drake went over to BDS, it came at the cost of two kills, as ShowMaker and DK won yet another major fight. BDS once again try everything to kill Kellin on the side of DK, and while they do, it costs them everything else. For that play, DK moved to 7k ahead as BDS already looked to be beyond salvation in Game 1.

BDS finally found a few ways back into the game, picking up objective bounties and picks… but just like that, DK clapped back and extended their gold lead back to 7k. With Baron secured, DK was knocking at the door of BDS, and with that, the game was over.

Team BDS vs Dplus KIA Recap – Game 2

BDS had a lot of work to do if they wanted to get back into this series. Sadly for BDS, it was DK who claimed first blood, after BDS invaded onto the DK red buff but were snipped on the way out. DK continued to pile on the pressure, as BDS looked down and out with just 13 minutes on the clock. The game continued to snowball out of control for BDS, as Baron approached, they found themselves in a 6k defecate with a lot to do to get back into this series. BDS needed to lick their wounds as they prepared to come back for Game 2. BDS tried to force a flip at the Baron, but once again they didn't have the damage as DK walked away with the Baron and three kills.

With Baron secured, DK had the BDS base cracked wide open, as the game looked to draw to a close. Soul Drake was up, but DK sieged the base and left BDS with just one hope left of making it out of this stage of Worlds. That victory means that DK have two more Bo3s to stay in Worlds, but as for BDS, their run at Worlds is over.
