The series will go on at 12 PM PT/3 PM EST and will feature a wide variety of famous esports players. The top eight performing teams, chosen from earlier Qualifier rounds, will have the opportunity to compete against fan favorites in esports as well as Chipotle-fan gamers in sports, music, and entertainment.
The prize? Reports detail a year’s supply of whatever the heck you can possibly think of from Chipotle (for a year) and about $25,000. It’s a best-of-both-worlds type of situation, especially if there will be Gamer Fuel to parch for players to sip on.
So while the winning team will get a lot of delicious food and prize money, but the event also caters specifically to those affected by the Coronavirus. Over $25,000 will be donated… as well as some chips and supremely fresh guacamole.
There were three qualifying rounds for this tournament, so the teams that end up playing tomorrow will already be in tip-top shape. Nadeshot, Courage, MYTH, TimTheTatMan, and everyone’s favorite frozen-faced CDL superstar, Seth “Abner” Scump. Professional athletes, DJs, and other esports alum are all slated to make an appearance.
The competition will consist of three Qualifiers and a live-broadcasted Final, set to start tomorrow, on April 30th.
