Here is everything we know about the upcoming Call of Duty MW3 Vortex Event


With 2024 just beginning, the developers back at Activision are looking to bring brand new content to their latest edition in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 3. One of the first events of the year will be the all-new Vortex Event. This is going to be Zombies themed event which will include new weapons and maps, and some additions to the Zombies game mode. As the developers aim to make the most of the game before tackling future endeavors, we can hope for this event to be quite big for the community.

So let’s take a look at everything we know so far about The Vortex Event in CoD MW3.

Call of Duty: MW3 Vortex Event

The event will be a limited-time mode and will follow the CODMAS event. This will bring lots of new content for the players to enjoy during Season 1 of MW3. After seeing the massive update that was CODMAS, the community is excited to see what else is in store for 2024.

Start & End Dates

The event is set to start on January 3, 2024, and will end after 2 weeks on January 17. The event will feature a limited-time game mode alongside other stuff.

Vortex Limited-Time Mode

The new mode will be a Free-For-All match but with a unique twist. One player will spawn with the Ray Gun from the Zombies game mode, which can one-shot enemies. Whenever the player who has the Ray Gun gets killed, the owner of the Ray Gun will change. The player who killed him will become the new owner. This will go on until a player reaches the kill limit. The player to reach the limit first will win the whole thing.

The game mode will feature 3 maps. These will be revamped versions of Quarry, Scrapyard, and Rust. The maps will be visually altered to fit the more scary and dark theme of the event. The maps have been suitably renamed as Satan’s Quarry, Sporeyard, and Tetanus for the event.

Rewards

So far no details have been shared about the rewards for the event, but it is revealed that players can claim up to 15 rewards while it is active. The full list will be released as soon as the event goes live, so stay in touch with us to get all the details.
