Call of Duty: MW3 opens Rustment 24/7 playlist for all players

Call of Duty has adopted a continuous technique to keep its fans and players coming back to the game again and again. Players have seen this method come into action since much older titles and some even look forward to it. The method we are talking about is Playlists. Playlists are limited-time events where players can queue to play a match in a fixed number of maps and game modes. Usually, they are added when Activision is looking to promote newly released maps or game modes, as players want to try out the new content this queue allows them to play them easily. Playlists are also used to keep players in the game by adding fan-favorite maps as well.

Activision has added a new playlist in the matchmaking menu for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The playlist is named Rustment 24/7 and features classic maps Rust and the newly added Shipment, both of which are extremely popular in the franchise. So let's take a look the the new Rustment playlist and outline all the details.

What is Rustment 24/7

Rustment 24/7 is a special playlist for players to try out in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. It will allow players to queue for two maps only. The maps are Rust and Shipment, hence the name Rustment. The maps will have a short but popular list of game modes. These include Domination, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and many more.

Both these maps have been fan favorites since their origins in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare back in 2007. They are very small in size and tightly constricted. Due to the small spaces, games on these maps tend to be quite chaotic, especially in larger lobbies. With killstreaks and grenades flying everywhere, it’s always a good time on Rust and Shipment.

What makes Rustment so popular

One of the other main reasons why maps like Shipment are so popular is because of their effectiveness in leveling up guns. The way Call of Duty works is that by leveling up guns you can unlock more attachments for them and fine-tune the weapon even more. Unlocking camos also follows a similar path where players have to complete challenges with their guns to unlock new camos for them.

So what is the best way to complete challenges and play more games with a gun? It's these small maps like Shipment that allow levels to get high kill counts and get more progress done at an unbelievably fast rate. So tasks are completed much faster compared to regular maps which are much less chaotic.

So if you’re looking for an opportunity to get some challenges done for your camos or unlock that special attachment to make your weapon stronger, look no further as Rustment will give you the perfect opportunity. Since this will be a temporary playlist, it is recommended to play as much as possible before it gets taken out of the game.
